Oak City Academy values the diversity that is brought about by having diverse cultures and socioeconomic subgroups in the same environment. It gives an opportunity for mutual learning, partnership for community renewal, and an experience of a justice oriented community. The OCA scholarship fund seeks to remove financial hindrances for families so that they may fully avail themselves of the resources of the OCA community.
Oak City Academy Scholarships are open to all, but a priority is given to low income families that live in the various urban communities of Raleigh. Scholarships range from 35% - 90% of tuition largely based on financial need. They will be awarded on a sliding scale based on income and fixed expenses. Though many may qualify for these scholarships, scholarships will only be awarded based on the funds that are presently available at the time they are awarded.
