Financial Aid:
Need-based financial aid awards are granted and renewed on
an annual basis.
** Students applying for admission to Saint Joseph Prep will
receive a preliminary aid determination along with the admission decision which
is mailed in early February. Awards for new students will be based upon
submission of 2021 W-2(s) and 2021 tax return(s).
Thereafter, returning students’ applications for renewable financial aid
are due with re-registration in early spring.
Requests for financial aid will be reviewed only when all
required documents have been submitted. Preliminary awards will be finalized in
the spring when the 2022 tax return(s) and W-2
(s) have been submitted and verified by FACTS.
** Please note the following regarding parents’ marital status:
- For parents who are married, co-applicant information is
required. Please submit copies of both parents’ 2021 W-2 forms and 2021 tax returns, including all
supporting tax schedules.
- For parents who are separated, divorced, or were never
married, Saint Joseph Prep requires that each parent file a FACTS application
along with the appropriate tax documentation (2021 W-2 forms and 2021 tax returns, including all
supporting tax schedules). Please note that financial information received from
one parent will not be shared with the other and is completely confidential. In
addition, the resources of other adults in the custodial parent’s household
should be included on the application as these resources alleviate some burden
of providing household support outside the cost of education.
Additional Award Information:
- Students admitted from the Waitlist will be considered for
need-based aid if the financial aid application was submitted and completed by
Dec. 31.
- Late applications for aid will be considered only if there
are any unclaimed funds remaining for distribution, as financial aid resources
are limited.
-
If your family is not awarded financial aid for your
student’s first year of enrollment, it is likely that your family will not
become eligible in subsequent years, unless there is a significant change in
family income and assets, or another child enrolls.
