Jewish Federation of Broward County- Israel Experience

We are pleased to offer you a convenient, online method to apply for financial aid through FACTS for Jewish Federation of Broward County- Israel Experience.

The Jewish Federation of Broward County, through the generosity of our donors, is pleased to offer need-based scholarships to Jewish high school students living in Broward County, who wish to participate in Israel Experience Trips.

In order to qualify for scholarship funds, student applicants must currently be in high school, and cannot have graduated from high school yet at the time of the trip.

Trips must be 3 to 8 weeks long, and led by a recognized, pro-Israel group, with experience leading trips to Israel that are designed to strengthen teens connection to Israel and their Jewish Identity.

Scholarship recipients will be required to do a total of 50 hours of volunteer work in the Jewish community in exchange for the scholarship support they receive, and will be asked to speak about their trip following their return. (The volunteer work may be done at the Jewish agency of your choice, though it must be pre-approved by the Federation. Speaking for the Federation, to donors, potential donors, or others, will count towards the 50 hours.)

Funds are, unfortunately,  limited. Neither applying for a scholarship, nor the determination by FACTS that you would need a scholarship to enable you to participate in an Israel Experience Trip, guarantee you will receive a scholarship. A scholarship committee will make final determinations, based on available funds, financial need, and anticipated impact.
