Please read the following letter if you are planning to apply for financial aid:

Dear Mater Dei Family:

We are pleased to announce that FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will again be conducting the financial aid need analysis for Mater Dei High School. Beginning this year, we will only have an on-line financial aid application to apply for financial aid with the non-refundable $32.00 Application Processing Fee.

Financial aid is granted to those families that qualify on a first-come, first-served basis. New families may begin the financial aid process before the official notification of their student’s acceptance and final registration. However, they must complete the entire admission application and be accepted to Mater Dei before they will hear back from the financial review committee on their potential financial aid grant. Returning families must re-apply for financial aid each year. Once your application has been evaluated by FACTS, your application and evaluation will be forwarded to the Mater Dei High School Financial Review Committee so they can make a decision on any potential financial aid grant. Failure to complete your financial aid application and provide the necessary supporting documentation by the February 15 deadline may impact whether your student receives financial aid or the amount of financial aid your student is eligible to receive.

The Financial Review Committee considers many factors in determining the amount of aid granted.  Demonstrated financial need, the number of families applying for aid and the amount of financial aid funds available from Mater Dei High School are significant factors in determining financial assistance.

However, another major factor for consideration will be the family’s recent tuition payment history at Mater Dei High School.  Families that still have a past-due balance from the 2021-2022 school year will not be eligible for financial aid next year.  After financial aid for each family has been determined, it is your responsibility to meet the balance of your tuition payment.

Applicants can apply online by creating a new profile or if you have an existing username and password please log in using that. The deadline to submit your application is Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:

  • Copies of your 2021 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
  • Copies of your 2021 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
  • Copies of supporting documentation for Alimony, Child Support, Disability Income, Social Security Income, Worker's Compensation, Food Stamps, Welfare, Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF), housing assistance, recently sold a business or home, inherited money, or if you receive income from renting a room out in your home.

All supporting documentation must be uploaded in pdf format online.

If you have questions or concerns about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at (866) 441-4637 or you may contact the Mater Dei High School Business Office at (714) 850-9504 or (714) 850-9506.
